I am Ayan, and this site is dedicated for my thoughts about the apparel industry of Bangladesh and its enormous scope in very different aspects. I have been working in this industry since 2013, and each and everyday i see it changing with rapid speed. As its core driver, we, the management have to also adapt that speed  in order to deliver excellence.

As a country, We are casting a big shadow in the world apparel supply chain. We are now second largest exporting country in Ready Made Garments.  Though recent years have been tough, as we needed to rebuild ourselves as per new compliance of ACCORD and ALLIANCES. And as the big Technology players like Amazon.com and Asos.com are creating new diversity in the global garments manufacturing, the big retail brands are in great pressure in aspect of delivering the product quickly to the end consumer. This is where we gets the lead time pressure as garment suppliers.

Lead times are reducing drastically, and also the fashion trends are changing quickly. So retailers have to produce in smaller quantities, as the trends are quick now a days in the fashion industries. In order to achieve manufacturing excellence, we need to deal with a lot more different products within a shorter lead time. Here comes the dilemma, suddenly we need to manage a lot in a substantially shorter time-frame. So what we can't afford now is being wrong for once.

In my professional life , I work for a company which is continuously making great footprint in helping garments manufacturers throughout the world to achieve better efficiency and productivity. Now, more than ever, we need such guidance  and proven tool to make ourselves better to deal with the changing requirements of the industry.
